Rangers need 4 to defeat Twins

Sept 1 - Twins with the opener behind Ervin Santana's strong outing and Eduardo Nunez' 2-run HR.  Ryan Pressly was stellar in the 9th, facing the bases loaded with 1 out in a 1-run game and getting a pair of outs.

Sept 2 - Texas wins a slugfest 8-6.  Five Rangers hit HR (Gomez, Beltre, Odor, Desmond, and Nicholas).  Nick Martinez starred on the mound, throwing 6 innings of relief after starter Martin Perez gave up 4 first inning runs.

Sept 3 - More offense as the Rangers rap out 21 hits in a 14-8 win. Odor and

Sept 4 - Rangers advance with a 3-0 shutout behind A.J. Griffin and four relievers.  Moreland's solo HR in the 3rd was the only scoring through 6 as Griffin and Hector Santiago locked horns in a 1-0 battle.  In the 7th, Odor's fly ball went to reply and was ruled a HR, putting Texas up 3-0.  Mazara each had 4 hits, with Mazara driving in 5 runs. Colby Lewis was good enough - 6 runs over 7 innings for the win. Twins suffered when starter Ricky Nolasco exited the game after 3 batters due to an injury.
