600747261_MCa_BOS_0535GAME 1 - Fenway
Estrada vs S.Wright
Red Sox 5, Blue Jays 4

Matt Barnes started the 7th in relief of Steven Wright who left with a 2-1 lead after pitching 6 sharp innings.  Barnes would exit the game 4 batters later without recording an out and with his team down 4-2.  With the bases loaded Joey Bats doubled home two and Juan Encarnacion knocked in one with a grounder.  Boston would answer back a inning and a half later when Big Papi led off the bottom of the 8th with his 2nd double of the day.  Mookie Betts doubled him home, then scored on a Chris Young RBI single 3 batters later.  Jackie Bradley’s sac fly to left plated the 3rd and final run to give the Sahx a 5-4 lead.  The top of the 9th would be no cake walk for closer Craig Kimbrel, who served up a lead off triple to Joey Bats.  After fanning Encarnacion in a big spot he walked Saunders, fanned Tulo, then walked Paredes before fanning Russell Martin for the 3rd and final out allowing the Fenway faithful to exhale.

Red Sox lead series 1-0
