Daniel Murphy (4-5, 2RBI/2R) was a one man wrecking crew vs his old mates in the opener. Thor and Scherzer had a tight 3-2 duel going, but when the Scandanavian deity tired the Mets had to go to the pen and Josh Smoker got smoked (3 runs 1/3 IP). Anthony Rendon (2-3, 2RBI/2R) brought his lumber as well. Washington’s pen (Treined/Solis/Rivero) was perfect over the final 2 1/3 as the Nats drew first blood
