GAME 4
J.Ross vs Colon
Mets 8, Nats 3
Down 3-0 after 2 1/2 innings of play the Amazin’s looked to have dug themselves into a very deep abyss. The resiliant team from Flushing chipped away with a solo run in the 3rd and a 2 spot in the 4th off via a pinch hit double by Justin Ruggiano. Then in the bottom of the 5th they unleased a 5 run barrage that chased J.Ross from the mound. It all started by an all too familar bone head play (error) by former mate Dan Murphy and it culminated a 2 run shot by Yoenis Cespedes. Two batter earlier prodical son Jose Reyes hit a 3 run shot to put New York up for good. With that 5 run cushion the Mets would play mix and match with their pen. Eric Goeddel got the win as a reward for 2 perfect innings of relief after Big Sexy managed to only go 4 innings (3 runs).
Series tied 2-2
