Heading into the 6th twenty game winner (20-4, 3.18) J.A. Happ looked to be in the drivers seat with a 2-1 lead. With one out and Papi on 1st Betts hit a fieldable smash to short that Tulo booted to put runners on 1st and 2nd. The next 4 batters would hit line drive singles. If it wasn’t for a Pillar gunning Papi out at the plate the Jays could have been down by 3 runs and not 2. Tulo redeemed himself…somewhat…with an RBI single in the bottom of the 6th to make it a one run game again. That’s when the Sahx pen came on to get the final 9 outs to hand Stephen Wright his third tournament victory, which punched Boston’s ticket to the finals. Brad Ziegler, saved his 2nd of the tournament. Four different Sahx each had an RBI to account for their 4 runs. Papi walked 3 times and went 1-2.
