GAME 4
Pomeranz vs Dickey
Red Sox 11, Blue Jays 4
With a poor 5 runs in 5+ innings performance in a key playoff game one can say with almost certainty that the R.A. Dickey “Error” in Toronto is over. The Jays knuckelballer, cruised through 4 innings without allowing a run, but the Sahx got their timing down on his straight floater and 80 mph fastball and the hit just kept on coming. After scoring 2 in the 5th and 3 in the 6th the 2012 NL Cy Young Award winner was now Syanora. Boston added 6 more over the final 2 innings to win this on big, 11-1. Everyone in the Sahx lineup, sans Pedroia, had at least one knock. Papi had 3 knocks and 2 runs scored. Andrew Benintendi hit solo blasts in back to back innings (8th and 9th). Ramirez and Bradley chipped in with a jack each. Saunders his a meaningless homer in the 9th to break the shutout. Pomeranz got the win with five shutout innings.
Red Sox lead series 3-1
