A two out two run shot by Jayson Werth in the bottom of 3rd accounted for all of the scoring in this tension riddled decisive game 7. Stephen Strasburg was money, with a 10k 4 hit shutout over 7 1/3 innings of top notch work. The pen was equally as stout keeping the Metsies from launching one of their patented 2 run blasts that could have easily tied the game up. Rzepczynski arrived on the scene with one out in the 8th and Kelly Johnson on 1st. Wilmer Flores was sent up to pinch hit for Jay Bruce, who was announced into the game. Flores ripped a one hopper to Turner at 2nd, who flipped to Espinosa at short, who threw a strike to Murph at 1st to complete the inning ending 4-6-3 DP. The Metsies would go down in order in the 9th as kelley came on to get final 2 outs and the series ending save.
