GAME 2
deGrom vs Roark
Nats 7, Mets 4
2014 NL ROY Jacob deGrom (4R/5IP) barely made it to the 5th inning and what can generously be termed a “non-quality start”. Rookie Trea Turner (2-2, 3RBI) had deGrom’s number with one of his 2 hits being a 2 run shot. Nats starter Tanner Roark tired in the middle of the 5th and gave way to Belisle. 5 more Nat relievers would trot to the bump with Melancon getting the final 2 outs for his 4th save of the tournament. Nats team BA moved to a lofty .285 for the tourny, while the Amazin’s dropped to .219.
Nats lead series 2-0
